DEBRA'S  "GOD HAS TWELVE NEW ANGELS" IS INCLUDED ON KELLY COBERLY'S NEW ALBUM - July 2006

Country Recording Artist Kelly Coberly recently released her "Remember West Virginia Coal" Preview Album, which is a preview to her upcoming full-length album by the same name.  The albums include two tribute songs to the West Virginia Coal Miners.  Kelly & Debra (mother & daughter) are both from Upshur County, WV, the same town where the Sago Mine tragedy occurred in January 2006. She wanted to include the two songs on her new album to pay tribute to the coal miners and their families.

The title track, "Remember West Virginia Coal", is a mid-tempo Country/Bluegrass song written by 14 year old, Wes Boland, and his father, Kirk W. Boland from Smoaks, SC. The songwriters say, "Kelly's cut of the song is far more than we could have ever dreamed the song could be." Another Miner tribute included on the album, titled "God Has Twelve New Angels", is a beautiful Country ballad written by Debra K. Quick. The song starts out with a very touching spoken monologue about the tragedy at the Sago Mine, along with a soft melody that is sure to touch your heart. Kelly is very honored to record these two songs as a tribute to her hometown.

The new album will also pay tribute to those who serve, or have served, in the military with a few military tribute songs. The song, "My Heart's Missing In Action (No Tea Parties)", is an up-tempo Country song written by former U.S. Marine and Gulf War Veteran, Keith Chancey, along with Kirk W. Boland and Ola S. Boland, and it is sure to be a hit. The song is about a little girl who is heartbroken as she awaits her father's return from the war. Kelly's vocals on this song have been compared to the style of the 80's Female Country Group, The Forester Sisters. The album will include a blend of Country, Bluegrass, and Gospel.

The album also includes a song written by Kelly Coberly herself, titled "Precious Child".  Kelly was inspired to write this song after the loss of her baby cousin in 2002.

The release of the full-length album will be announced at a later date, however the 4-song Preview Album, shown above, is available NOW, and can be purchased by visiting www.kellycoberly.com, or by mailing a check or money order for $6.99 each (includes S/H) to Kelly Coberly Fanclub, P.O. Box 6712, Sevierville, TN  37864.  The album can also be purchased in person at Debra Quick's book signings.
